Heretic risk of rain 2 code#
I believe we will get a new code (perhaps displayed on the giant moon you see on Sky Meadow) to put into the artifact portal. But what is in Sky Meadow? A GIANT FUQING PORTAL. Before, I thought it was strange that Sky Meadow was the last stage before the final boss. (I think there is a good lore video from RoR1 for that theory.) this leads to how we will find Providence’s sibling. I think portals are more related to the sibling, while the imps brought teleportation from the red dimension. The only evidence of a portal in RoR1 is the imp artifact which kinda puts a wrench in my theory, but I will just ignore that for now. Now, a theory of mine that I feel is less solid, is the difference between portals, and teleporters. This is the origin of the “of Heresy” items, but I don’t think this is the sibling? Though if the Sibling’s attack resemble the heresy items. Lunar items: connected to the moon, so connected to Providence’s sister? Though there is a heretic described who was banished to the moon, with their legs and eyes removed and distributed across the moon. Talks about how the sibling is a designer, and Providence is the creator. Some other things that hint to Providence’s sibling:īulwark’s Ambry Log: Before the sibling was abandoned on the moon. She seem to have a bloodlust, which would explain why all the inhabitants suddenly are weaponized.

So who used a teleporter? I think after Providence’s death, the teleporter to the moon was reactivated, granting free travel between them, and Providence’s sibling returned. Your character is flying the ship away, not teleporting. Before RoR2, people assumed that was Providence teleporting away, but Hopoo confirmed that Providence was 100% dead.
But after the screen goes dark, you hear the sound of a teleporter. Now, at the end of Risk of Rain after defeating providence, you take control of the ship, and fly it home. So, the narrator of both logs is Providence’s Sibling. The sibling is clearly talking about Providence, who we know from the first game was doing exactly that. Now, she then talks about how the brother brings doomed creatures to his planet, and lists creatures we know. The same moon the brother tricked the sibling into teleporting to, the stranding the sibling there. We also find the narrator is stuck on a dead rock, close to the planet she speaks of, so most likely a moon, or THE moon. The “doomed” line connects this back to the environment log, connecting the narrator of that log to be the same person in this log. When you die - and you WILL die - I will be ready. “I have watched you for ages, from my dead rock. Why do you bring them home? They were not meant to survive. Lemurians: destined to a dead planet, picked clean. Dunepeople of Aphelia: lost, in fanatic worship of parasitic influences. Unknown Narrator says: “They we’re doomed for good reason. Then the sibling says that they will go through the teleporter first, at the request of the brother.īrittle Crown. The brother seems to be too invested in protecting the doomed creatures of the planet, and hesitant to leave. Then the narrator goes on to say they have built a teleporter to the moon. The first line the narrator says: “My brother” so siblings. Most importantly the logbook tells us much more of what is going on in between RoR1 and RoR2, and even before RoR1. And seeing as Providence’s Sibling theory doesn’t seem to be that well known, I decided to make a post outlining the theory.įirst part of proving Providence’s Sibling theory is in the console trailer, you see a silhouette of something that looks similar to Providence, but not quite the same. As well all know, the story of Risk of Rain is quite hard to find, and must be pieced together through the logbook.
